General Objectives of the International Women Networking

Overall objectives

International network of women and good local governance aims to develop women's participation in local government, and in the procedures of decision-making on the local level. |

| Minor objectives |
|
We are hereby committed to extend services for the citizens of Amman, and the municipality staff, as easily, transparently, and fairly as possible, while, at the same time preserving the cultural values, and the architectural and touristic environment of the city. We pledge to keep it secure, comfortable and bringing satisfaction, welfare and well being of the service recipients. We are also committed to realize sustainable development by best utilization and development of financial, human and technical resources and the management of knowledge. |

1. Establishing an international network for cooperation and exchange among women, elected or appointed administrators, and vocational women who work at the municipalities field on the local level |

| 1. Devising and implementing a basic action plan. |
| 2. Exchange experiences among women working in municipalities. |

| 5. Introducing success stories on the local and international levels |
| 6. Holding training conferences and seminars |
| 7. Forging professional (vocational) twinning agreements |
| 8. Encouraging the education and qualification of women to enable them at the municipal councils |

| Legal status of the network |
| The Net is a permanent, autonomous commission, emanating from and founded by the Metropolis. It enjoys international credibility, has a specified budget for its activities, and has a permanent seat at the Metropolis. |

| Membership |
|
Membership is basically limited to the elected or appointed female members of the municipal councils, and, at a later stage, (membership) includes managers and professionals, institutional and individual membership, and membership which is limited to the Metropolis. |
