Engineer Haitham Jweinat is currently acting the City Manager in addition to the City Deputy Manager for Cultural, Social, and Sports Affairs at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM). He has previously worked as the Executive Director of Regions, a member of the standard committee for the King Abdullah the Second Award for Innovation and Creativity, and the Head of the Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables, in addition to various important positions. Eng. Jweinat acquired a B.Sc. in civil engineering in 1983, and he has participated in a number of training courses. These include: Total Quality Management (T.Q.M.) from the Engineers Training Center (ETC) at the Jordan Engineering Association (JEA) in Amman; International Auditing Standards course at the International Center for Scientific Studies and Consultations (GC); Certified Project Manager course at the Modern Managers Center in Amman; "Managing Change – the New Vision" at GAMs Training Center; and "The Secret of Effective Time Management" course at Al Hussein Cultural Center. The most important awards and plaques and certificates of recognition and appreciation which Eng. Jweinat has received include Al Istiqlal (Independence) Plaque of the Fourth Order (H.M. King Al Hussein Bin Talal), Al Istiqlal (Independence) Plaque of the Third Order (H.M. King Al Hussein Bin Talal), second place in the Amateur Photography Competition at the British Council, and the award of honor at the Photography Exhibition at the American Cultural Center. Eng. Jweinat was elected Head of the Executive Commission for the regional Agricultural and Food Marketing Organizations Association for the Near East and North Africa region in 2008. Engineer Ziad Al Rihani is currently the City Deputy Manager for Economic Planning and Development at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), as of July 8, 2008. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Undersecretary of Planning from November 3, 2007 until July 6, 2008, and the Head of Project Coordination at the United Company for Engineering Planning / "Construction Managers and Consultants" from June 21, 2006, until October 20, 2007. Eng. Al Rihani was also the Deputy Undersecretary of Administrative Affairs (at GAM) from October 15, 2003, until April 25, 2006, in addition to other important posts. Eng. Al Rihani has a B.Sc. in civil engineering from Budapest University, and he has participated in various courses, the most important of which were on strategic planning, project management, information management, value engineering, risk management, and total quality management. Eng. Al Rihani has participated in the training seminars for regions engineers at GAM, which tackled topics such as how to place construction license material for evaluating fees and calculating violations according to legislation. He has also given specialized lectures for engineers at the Ministry of Municipalities and GAM, which were held at the GAM Headquarters. He has also given lectures about buildings and vocational licenses at the Jordan Engineering Association (JEA). He is also fully informed on the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) program.

Engineer Fawzi Masaad assumed his current position as the Citys Deputy Head for Public Works at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) in 2008; his position entails the direction and management of public work operations and the maintenance of the infrastructure in the capital of Amman. Also amongst his responsibilities is the planning and supervising the executive plans for this vital sector, including the pertinent budgets and projects. Furthermore, Eng. Masaad advises the City Manager on financial matters and extends recommendations relating to income sources, and on communicating with parties to source out funding for public work programs. Before becoming the Citys Deputy Head for Public Works, Eng. Masaad occupied a number of posts in GAM; from 2006 until 2008, he was assigned as the Deputy Undersecretary of Engineering, and, before that, as the Head of the Studies and Plans Department, Head of the Acquisition Department, and Head of the Engineering Department. During the late 1970s, Eng. Masaad was the engineer responsible for designing roads and buildings, and supervising roads at the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. He was also a member of the expert committee for the Department of Lands and Areas for estimating and appraising the value of lands and real estate. Over a period of 25 years, Eng. Masaad participated in various workshops and training programs related to the civil engineering and urban development sectors, both inside and outside of Jordan. Since acquiring a B.Sc. in civil engineering from Boğaziçi (Bosphrous) University in Istanbul in 1978, Eng. Masaad has endeavored to develop his practical and theoretical skills in the field of roads planning and maintenance, and project management.
