Description |The Region’s Plan for the Coming Five Years |

 

Badr is comprised of five neighborhoods: Al-Akhdar, Al-Thira’, Al-Hilal,              Al-Himraniyeh and Al-Yasmin. It covers 14 km2 and has a population of 220,000.    It shares common borders with Zahran, Medina, Ras Al-‘Ain and      Al-Mgabalein Regions.

The major border streets of Badr are Wadi Abdoun St., Al-Hurriyeh St.,            Al-Quds St., Ali Ibn Abi Taleb St., and Princess Basma St.

Some of the places of interest in Badr Region are: the Command of Policewomen Officers, and Anti-Drug Division, both part of the Department of Public Security; Social Development Center; Jordan Tobacco Co.; the Electricity Company; the Water Authority’s Water Pumping Station; Al-Muhajereen Central Bus Station; Al-Yarmouk Sports Field; Communication Switchboard.

Some of the schools in Badr: Burhan Kamal, Haneen, Yousef Ibn Tashfin,            Al-Abbasiyah, Abdullah Al-Sarraj, Maria Al-Qibtiya, Grenada, Ibrahim Al-Mazini, Al-Yarmouk, Maysaloun, Shajarat Al-Dorr, Hay Nazzal, Princess Salma, Nusseibah Bint Ka’ab, Al-Sumayra’ Bint Qais, and Abu Hurayra.

There are several public parks in Badr, such as Al-Shura and Al-Yasmin.         Badr also has a number of industrial estates and other private-sector commercial activities.

Badr Region applies the Quality Management System ISO-9001 2000, and has earned the ISO certificate on 22/11/2004.
