Khraibet Essouq is located in the southern part of Greater Amman. The first rural council for Khraibet Essouq was established in 1976. This region, up until the end of1986, was comprised of the Municipal Council of Khraibet Essouq, Jawa , and Al Yadoudeh, and Al Teibeh Rural Council. Later on, Nafi’ Village and King of Bahrain Woods were added to it. The Regional Directorate of Khraibet Essouq now encompasses: Khreibet Al Souq, Jawa, Al Yadoudeh, Al Teibeh, part of Al Jweideh, and part of Al Raqeem
