It  created with the deduction of parts from regions ( Al qwaismeh,marka,al nassir) .

Region called ( Amman East ) and  its the district  number twenty one  of  Greater Amman Municipality districts.

 The City Council decision number (167) has been taken on 10/10/2006 with giving a name  Ohud District  related to Ohud battle. And clarify  the district boarders  to be the street of Wadi Al qatar that starts from its connection with the Al shaheed street towards Al Zarqa Municipality. And it extends south until its meeting with Sahab street and to be all of the lands of the fall east of Wadi Al Qatar belonging to the new district.dated on 15/11/2006, The decision number ( 181 )   took a place with the formation of a local committee of the district with the presidency of sheikh Said  Al hadid and a membership all of the engineers / Abd Al-Aziz al hindi, Ahmad Al milaifi, And the membership of the deserect manager and the section chief  of the engineering department .
