Shafa Badran is one of the
Greater Amman Municipality districts. It considered as a
mix of hills that became a civilized city in a non
expected short time, it considered as a civilized city
which belonged to GAM on 1/1/1987. it’s the district
number 19 of GAM districs,before it gathered with GAM
districts Shafa Badran included the following Municipal
Councils :

koum and Yajouz Council

Marj Al Fors Council
3-
Shafa Badran Council that changed later to Shafa Badran
district
Location & borders
Shafa Badran is located from the northern side of Amman the capital, and far about (15 km) from the middle.
Borders :
1-Birain is from north
2- Tariq and Jobaiha from the south
3- Abu Nsair from west
4- Al Rusaifa from east
Population
The population average is about 45.000 thousand distributed on the pre mentioned blocks and the majority are occupied a governmental careers, and the minority are agricultures.

The Historical Places
The most important historical place in Shafa Badran is Khirbit Yajous that’s located to the east from yajouz cemetery, it’s a Roman historical city, while there is a historical digging since 1994 & they found churches, and buildings.
Also there is many old trees such as Batleemus, Batam, Tree(1000 year)in Yajouz Area, And Kina in Um Al Ourog (80 year) .added to a very old mosque in Yajouz Village .
Shafa Badran is trying to facilitate the required security to all historical places as well as cemeteries.
