Located in Al-Rajib village – old name
Al Raqeem - 10km southeast of downtown Amman, the Cave is believed
to be the one mentioned in Surat Al-Kahf in the Holy Quran. It is
likely that the story mentioned in the Quran had taken place during
the reign of Emperor Theodosius II (408-450 AD) after the spread of
Christianity in the region and ultimately became the official
religion of the Roman Empire.
